DMP Audio or Video Interview
Interview Questions:
(Initial Question): “We’re doing a project to explore
times of limbo or ‘holy Saturdays’ in our lives. The concept of Holy Saturday
comes from the crucifixion of the Savior, when he had died on Friday, and had
not yet been resurrected on Sunday. The worst had already happened, and the
best was yet to come. That feeling of being stuck in-between or waiting happens
to everyone, and we’re trying to compile stories to see what it is that gets us
through these experiences. Can you tell me about a Holy Saturday or ‘limbo’
experience in your life?”
(Follow-Up Questions):
What tethered you in your limbo? Or what tethers you
in limbo?
Is there a “holy ground” or other place or object tied
to this experience?
How have you changed because of this waiting period,
or limbo?
How did you find joy during this time of waiting? (How
did you find ‘joy in the mourning?’)
Description of Interviewee:
Evy Denfeld: Evy is my wife. 😊 She’s twenty-two years old. She’s
very kind, understanding, and perceptive. I felt it would be interesting and
helpful to interview her, because she has recently dealt with “limbo” experiences
that were critical to choosing a life path. They were big choices that were
difficult to deal with. Further, her limbo experiences are another side and
perspective of some of my own limbo experiences, so I thought it would be
fascinating to get the different view of some of those same events from my
other half.
